Cacao Hedge is a software platform. It is not a registered investment adviser under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 or under any state securities law. Nothing on this website or within the platform constitutes investment advice, a solicitation, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security.
2. How the Platform Operates
You connect your own brokerage account to Cacao Hedge via OAuth 2.0. You configure the investment strategy, define the constraints (asset universe, rebalance threshold, weight limits, and other guardrails), and determine the authorization level under which rebalances occur.
Depending on the authorization mode you select: you either review and approve each individual rebalance before it executes, or you sign a one-time strategy authorization under which future rebalances execute automatically within your pre-defined constraints. In all cases, you define the boundaries. The system executes within them.
Cacao Hedge does not make discretionary investment decisions on your behalf. The platform does not exercise investment discretion as that term is defined under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
3. What Cacao Hedge Does Not Do
Cacao Hedge does not hold, custody, or manage your assets. We do not have access to withdraw funds from your account. Your brokerage account is maintained exclusively by your connected broker (Alpaca Securities LLC or Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.) under their respective terms, conditions, and regulatory requirements. Each broker's own disclosures govern your relationship with that firm.
4. Risk Disclosures
All investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Past performance of any strategy, backtest result, or model portfolio is not indicative of future results.
Backtested and hypothetical performance results are simulated — they do not reflect actual trading and were not executed in live accounts during the periods shown. Hypothetical results have inherent limitations: they are constructed with the benefit of hindsight, do not account for the financial or emotional impact of actual trading, and may materially differ from live performance due to transaction costs, liquidity constraints, market impact, slippage, taxes, and other factors not fully captured in simulation.
Regime detection, optimization outputs, and allocation recommendations are the product of quantitative models. Models can be wrong, misspecified, or subject to structural breaks that invalidate historical relationships. No model output should be relied upon as a guarantee of future performance.
5. No Advisory Relationship
Use of this website or the platform does not create an investment advisory relationship between you and Cacao Hedge. Submitting the early access form does not create an advisory relationship or guarantee access. Please consult a qualified financial adviser, tax professional, or attorney before making investment decisions.
6. Broker Relationships
Cacao Hedge integrates with Alpaca Securities LLC and Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. These firms are independent of Cacao Hedge. Each maintains its own terms of service, privacy policies, and regulatory disclosures. Your brokerage account, custody of assets, and execution of orders are governed by your agreement with your chosen broker.
